At this width, the pen produces a 3.8 mm down-stroke with a 0.5 mm side hairline, suited to large-format lettering, certificate titling, and lettering work where the stroke needs to be visible at a distance. The barrel is a lightweight plastic design built to hold higher-capacity cartridges, supporting longer writing sessions without a refill. The cap is green, matching the pen's internal section. For the widest stroke in the series, the Pilot Parallel 6.0 mm is built for poster-scale lettering and broad ink fills.
