This is a heavy one. Painted Graves Box Set – Signed Edition pulls together decades of European train graffiti through the eyes of Olivier Scuro a.k.a. OPAK, one of the most influential French train writers to ever do it. If you know the Dirty Handz era, wholecars, panels, and the crews that shaped European train history, you already know this isn’t just another photo book.
OPAK came up in the early 90s and pushed hard across Europe with his crews and close collaborators, leaving behind work that’s still referenced today. In the early 2000s, heavy police pressure forced him to step away from painting trains in France, effectively closing a chapter that defined a whole generation. Years later, during the lockdowns of 2020, he went back into the archives and started building what became Painted Graves — not as nostalgia, but as a raw documentation of what actually went down.
This signed box set brings together Painted Graves Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and the exclusive third book Painted Graves Relics, which is only available in this edition. Relics goes deeper into the material that didn’t make the main books — outtakes, unseen pieces, missing shots, extra context, and reflections tied to locations, missions, and revisits to abandoned trains. It feels personal, messy in the right way, and honest.
Across all three books you’re looking at 700 pages of material, packed with work from some of the strongest names in train graffiti history. Panels, wholecars, details, atmosphere, and the kind of shots that usually stay buried in private folders. This isn’t polished hype — it’s documentation, memory, and legacy stitched together by someone who lived it.
The whole set comes housed in a high-quality magnet box, signed by OPAK, and limited to 660 copies worldwide. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
This box set isn’t for casual browsing. It’s for writers, historians, collectors, and anyone who understands what trains meant — and still mean — to graffiti culture. A serious release and easily one of the strongest book projects of the year.
